Reporting to Parents
We understand the need for effective communication with parents and encourage regular contact wherever possible.
Parents are able to communicate with school staff and teachers via Mrs. Harmer (who is always at the main pupil entrance), through the school diary, by telephoning the school office, by emailing teachers or simply by seeing teachers for an appointment as they dismiss children at the end of the school day.
There are three main formal points of contact over the school year.
Early in the Autumn Term we hold parent consultation meetings to enable teachers to share targets for the forthcoming year.
Midway through the Spring Term we send home an Annual written report that identifies current areas of strength and any areas for development that need to be addressed before the end of the term.
At the end of the Summer term we hold parent consultation meetings to enable teachers to disseminate academic results and start the process of target setting for the following year.
