School Attendance & School Times

We at St. Teresa’s school feel that it is imperative for children to be in school every day, unless they are unwell. If your child is absent from school then you must  telephone the school on the first day of absence before 9:30am on 0208 648 1846 option 1 alternatively you can email our Attendance Officer jacqui.reecemoore@st-teresas.merton.sch.uk  If we do not hear from you our School operates a 'First Day Calling Policy' and will contact you.

Parents and Carers are advised that requests for leave of absence during term time cannot be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances.

The school has set a target for attendance of 96.2%. Children whose attendance falls significantly below are at risk of further action being taken against them by the Local Authority.

Every School day counts.  Days off school add up to lost learning.  Please do not let your child miss out on the education they deserve.

The main school doors open at 8:30am for Year 1-6 registration begins at 8:50am and closes at 9:00am. Children arriving after this will be marked as late. If the main doors or the doors to Reception are closed then children will need to be dropped at the school office, from where they will be taken down to class.

On the rare occasion that parents or carers are delayed, they will be taken to wait in the school office to await collection.  We keep a record of late collections and if this is happening regularly then it may be necessary to arrange an appointment with the school to discuss.
